Installation Note
Troubleshooting
E1: C.H. sensor short circuit (C.H. pump runs continuously as safety measure)
E2: C.H. sensor open circuit (C.H. pump runs continuously as safety measure)
E3: H.W. sensor short circuit
E4: H.W. sensor open circuit
Note: For indoor use only. Keep in dry environment.
A: The EPC-89D uses smart temperature differential logic to manage both C.H. and H.W. pumps efficiently. The C.H. pump runs only when the boiler reaches your set temperature, while the H.W. pump automatically balances boiler and tank temperatures based on your hysteresis settings. This targeted distribution prevents unnecessary energy waste and reduces fuel consumption.
A: The controller features comprehensive automatic protections, including:
Anti-Stop Function: Runs each pump for 15 seconds every 14 days during off-season to prevent limescale buildup and motor seizure.
Frost Protection: Activates pumps to circulate water once temperatures drop below 5°C to prevent pipe freezing.
Overheating Safety: Instantly triggers an acoustic alarm and visual alert if the boiler exceeds 91°C.
A: Yes. The EPC-89D offers multiple modes. In Priority Mode (P), the controller prioritizes domestic hot water heating first, running the C.H. pump only after the target H.W. tank temperature is met. You can also switch off priority to run them independently, or activate Summer Mode (L) to run hot water only while C.H. remains idle.
A: These codes indicate specific temperature sensor faults for quick diagnostic troubleshooting:
E1 / E2: C.H. sensor short circuit or open circuit. (As a safety fallback, the C.H. pump will run continuously until resolved).
E3 / E4: H.W. sensor short circuit or open circuit.
A: Absolutely. The EPC-89D is manufactured under strict ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 certified quality systems. The product itself carries major global market certifications, including CE (RED/EMC/LVD), UKCA, FCC, ETL Listed, EAC, CRA, WEEE, and RoHS, ensuring complete safety and commercial readiness for installers worldwide.
