Advanced Thermostat Manufacturing & Production Facility

Welcome to the heart of E-TOP Controls. Our highly automated, ISO-certified manufacturing facility ensures a steady annual capacity of 1.5 million units. By keeping critical processes like SMT, plastic injection, and aging testing in-house, we guarantee unmatched quality control, shorter lead times, and extreme reliability for your smart HVAC systems.

1. High-Precision SMT (Surface Mount Technology)

SMT is the foundation of our electronic stability. We operate three advanced SMT placement lines featuring top-tier Panasonic and Juki machines, ensuring high efficiency and pinpoint accuracy.

Our room thermostat workshop is located directly above the SMT lines, minimizing printed circuit board (PCB) vibration during transport. Most importantly, our Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) acts as a strict checkpoint, improving our PCBA yield rate to an impressive 99.8%.

2. DIP & Wave Soldering Process

For heavy-duty components that cannot be surface-mounted—such as power relays, large capacitors, and wiring terminals—we utilize a specialized DIP process. Components are precisely positioned and run through advanced wave soldering machines for secure fixation. After cooling and safety pin-cutting, boards undergo 100% visual checking and functional fixture testing before being neatly racked to prevent friction damage.

3. In-House Plastic Injection Molding

To eliminate common industry defects like broken hooks, black dots, and thermal deformation, we operate our own plastic injection molding workshop equipped with five high-tonnage machines.

  • Premium Materials: We import 100% virgin plastic grains directly from Taiwan. No recycled or secondary materials are ever used.
  • Fire Resistance: All plastic enclosures are molded from high-grade PC+ABS, achieving a UL94-5 fire-resistance rating.
  • Mold Maintenance: In-house production allows for daily maintenance of thermostat tooling, ensuring perfect structural precision.

4. Standardized Assembly Lines

With 2 spacious assembly workshops and 10 dedicated production lines, our facility sustains a daily capacity of 5,000 units. To guarantee flawless output, workers must wear anti-static (ESD) clothing and wristbands. Every shift begins with a Process Quality Control (PQC) first-piece inspection, and all assemblies strictly follow documented standard operating procedures (SOPs).

5. Rigorous 48-Hour Aging (Burn-In) Test

Burn-in testing is a mandatory safeguard before any thermostat leaves our factory. We operate two massive, custom-designed aging shelves capable of testing 2,000 units simultaneously. Depending on the model (12V/24V/110V/230V, AC or DC), every unit undergoes a 24 to 48-hour continuous stress test.

  • On/Off Aging (2 Hours): Repeated power cycling to test relay durability.
  • Limit Voltage Aging (2 Hours): Subjecting high-voltage units to extreme voltage margins.
  • Standby Aging (20+ Hours): Long-term visual and sensor discrepancy inspections to weed out early-life failures.

6. Secure Packaging & Outbound Inspection

Packaging is the final defense against overseas transportation damage. Every thermostat undergoes a final visual inspection and barcode/QR code verification. We utilize highly durable materials: protective stickers, individual product boxes, 5-layer craft paper master cartons, security bandages, and sturdy wooden pallets (upon request) to ensure pristine delivery to our international clients.

Frequently Asked Questions (Manufacturing)

Q1: What is the daily production capacity of your thermostat factory?

A: With our highly automated SMT lines and 10 standardized assembly workshops, our standard daily output is 5,000 units, enabling us to confidently handle an annual capacity of 1.5 million devices for our global OEM partners.

Q2: Do you use fire-resistant materials for the thermostat housings?

A: Yes. Safety is critical. All our plastic enclosures are injection-molded in-house using 100% virgin PC+ABS raw materials imported from Taiwan, which strictly comply with the UL94-5 fire-resistance standard.

Q3: How do you prevent early-life electrical failures before shipping?

A: Every single unit goes through a mandatory 24 to 48-hour burn-in (aging) test on our dedicated shelves. This includes repetitive power cycling and limit voltage stress testing to ensure the relay and PCB can withstand real-world operational strains.
