Among E-top room thermostats, there is a kind of thermostat or timer with 'volt-free contacts', or 'volt-free switching', operates a switch that opens and closes its contacts, but no voltage or current will flow. Volt-free room thermostat for, such as, boiler heating system do not need to provide power source to boiler. All E-top thermostats are CE certificated room thermostats. Depends your requirements, E-top Controls provide you multiple choice for different configuration: Child lock room thermostat-prevent children unconsciously operate, Open window detection thermostat-turn off heating/cooling system if door or window opened to save energy, Smart room thermostats can be controlled on smart phone via Tuya Smart Life APP remotely or other protocol you needs.
With the energy crisis gradually intensifying, air source heat pump attracts much human attention. E-Top is also committed to the research and development of air source heat pump temperature controllers/Room Thermostats
A heat pump thermostat's basic function is based around the temperature, when the temperature indoor falls below the set number, thermostats will know to turn the heat pump on. The heat pump is switched off once the set temperature is reached.
There are three types of thermostat suitable for air source heat pump : mechanical thermostat, electrical thermostat, and smart thermostat.
Mechanical thermostats are the least expensive of the three, like a standard manual thermostat they are basic in terms of function, allowing you to turn your heat pump on or off. Electrical thermostats can be programmed with details like date and time, and whether you’d prefer manual or automatic functioning. Smart thermostats can do all the above, whilst allowing you to connect wirelessly via your phone or smart device. You can use an app to operate and schedule your smart thermostat.
Smart heat pump thermostats make sure that there is sufficient heating/cooling inside house at all times. We have WiFi and zigbee Smart thermostat for selection, for more information, pls. contact info@etopcontrols.com
Generally, we use on/off type thermostat to control the boiler, the sensor built into the thermostat detects the temperature in the room and judges the boiler switch according to the comparison with the setpoint.
Opentherm,It is a communication name that links HVAC (heating and cooling equipment) and room thermostats beyond the manufacturer's control system, it consists of communication protocols and port specifications, and represents a technical system that can achieve high functionality and future expansion possibilities using common simple installation methods.
• Set and read tap water temperature
• Turn tap water on and off
• Read the outdoor temperature
• Read failures
• Weather related controls
Opentherm make your thermostat as simple as plug-and-play!
Currently, E-top has joined the OT association, and have finish the development of OT thermostats base on the OT protocol, and OEM for several local boiler manufacturers, and of course, WIFI function was combined.
Make OT thermostats a part of your smart home!
The thermostat for an air to water heat pump functions similarly to a traditional thermostat, but with some additional features specific to heat pump systems. Air to water heat pump thermostat allows you to control the temperature of your home by activating or deactivating the heat pump's operation.
Here are some key features you might find on an air to water heat pump thermostat:
Remote control: You can control the underfloor heating and cooling thermostat and adjust temperature settings remotely through a smartphone app.
Temperature setting: You can set the desired temperature for your home using the digital HVAC thermostat. The heat pump will work to maintain this temperature.
Mode selection: The wired or wireless heat pump thermostat usually offers different modes, such as heating, cooling, and auto. In heating mode, the heat pump will provide warmth to your home. In cooling mode, it will help to cool your home. The auto mode allows the thermostat to switch between heating and cooling as needed.
Fan control: Many programmable heat pump
thermostats have fan control options, allowing you to adjust the fan's speed or set it to automatic mode. Such fan coil unit normally install at ceiling for heating or cooling.
Programmable settings: Some room thermostats offer programmable settings, which allow you to set different temperatures for different times of the day or week. This can help optimize energy efficiency and comfort.

Hereby, share the three main roles of the different pressure bypass according to E-top OEM room thermostats in different system:
1st: Protect the end control valve of the heating system to prevent the pressure difference between the two ends control valve from being too much.
In normal heating system end control valve: one is floor heating’s manifold electric heating valve, the other one is thermostatic radiator valve (TRV). Both of their close pressure difference is about 10m, if the pressure difference too large, the valve can not close. But in daily use, if pressure difference is over 3m, means 30KPa, there will be noise in the control valve. So we just need to prevent the noise of the control valve, it will be easy to solve the problem of the close pressure difference.
2nd: Protect the mainframe to prevent the mainframe flow from being too small.
For air source heat pump (thermostat), if mainframe flow is too small, there will be a warm causing mainframe stop working.
For boiler system (thermostat), if mainframe flow is too small, it will make boiler On/Off frequently, even overheat protection then turn off the boiler.
3rd: Protect water pump (thermostat) to prevent pump head too large due to the small flow.
For water pump in the system, including build-in and out pump, if flow is too small, it will cause the pump head too large. At this time, water pump will deviate significantly from the ideal working state point, increase energy consumption and motor overheat.
These three roles work when the system is under partial load, that is, when part of the end is closed. Depending on the system, sometimes three roles work at the same time, sometimes only one or two of them work(s).
